With a very wet weekend ahead (and after riding out two storms in the summer) we decided on a hunkering down weekend with the log-burner on, comforting food and home crafts that are useful for the coming months - now the weather is turning colder it's time to crack open the lip balm!
Here is a home-made lip balm recipe that is ever so easy to do; and you can toy with the coconut oil ratios to move it from lip balm to lip gloss. Essential van-life packing item in the winter months.
This is made from all natural products which I love.
Ingredients
3 Tablespoons of beeswax pellets
2 Tablespoons of shea butter
4 Tablespoons of coconut oil
18 drops of essential oil (I use peppermint)
1. Put the beeswax pellets, shea butter and coconut oil in a bowl and heat in the microwave in small increments until melted, stirring in between each one.
2. Once fully melted, add in your essential oil and decant into small lip balm pots.
3. Wait until cooled then pop the lid on and done!
